“To break out of the pack and rise above the noise, your ebook needs to get read. Readers have to read it, love it, and tell someone else. This is “word of mouth.” Global eBook Awards are more than a “sticker:” they come with a built-in publicity machine.

To be successful, fiction has to get read.

To be successful, nonfiction has to be brought to the attention of its category audience.

The Global eBook Awards are designed to help you achieve these goals.”

  1. TOM HAINES says:

Screenplays are being read as a form of entertainment now that many are available on the internet for a small charge or for free. Many readers love to play out a book in their head as if it’s a movie. Now it’s time to read screenplays that are designed to play out in your head as a movie. They generally take two to three hours to read, a quick entertainment fix. Add a screenwriting category, and have another first for Global E-book Awards.

    • Joseph Dowdy says:

Hi Tom, I think that’s an interesting idea, we’re in the business to help authors get their work recognized (reviews and awards) and promoted (which means their book of poetry or prose must be for sale). Plays are certainly a wonderful form of literature as I am a playwright myself, but I don’t know how we can make the second part of this equation work since plays aren’t meant to be purchased more than once or meant to be purchased by the masses like prose and poetry, music, apps, etc.

  2. TOM HAINES says:

Oops, sorry, I thought the comments were for the general concept of E-book awards. But, I’d be curious to hear what people think about the idea.

  3. Lisa McCue (McCarty Griffin) says:

Can you be more specific with the “And much more?”

  4. Hello,
I’m interested in entering my novel in the contest. Is publicity only given to titles which are nominated, finalists, or a winner?

    Thank you

    • Joseph Dowdy says:

No. All ebooks get the same amount of publicity and promotions before judging as part of the program. The awards themselves in the finalist and winner ranges get additional publicity.
