[NOTE: Global eBook Awards is delighted to officially welcome our first judge in our awards competition. At the Global eBook Awards, we have done our best to make our awards a pioneering venture always with an eye to the future and as a valuable and useful service to the authors who enter. The harshest accusation an awards organization can receive is that it’s rigged or unfair. We aim to strike down that idea from the minds of doubters in our midst. So, without further ado, please welcome our first judge: Danny O. Snow.]
Danny O. Snow is our first official ebook judge and says of the awards, “I support Poynter’s idea of reaching out to Shelfari and other reader groups. Sometime, we alleged ‘experts’ have an agenda, while lay readers are more likely to focus simply on the quality of the content.” Danny enjoys reading ebooks on the iPhone along with its many other features such as music, video and everything else it does; he shared with us “And (I almost forgot) it’s a phone, too!”
Before becoming a publisher, Snow was a SAG and Equity actor, then a producer/director in NYC. The son of seasoned Broadway and network TV veterans, he grew up backstage and in NYC broadcast studios. As a publisher, he is proud to co-publish books with Universal Studios Hollywood, Bridge Arts Media, and Harvardwood.org, a unique organization of 2,500+ Harvard-connected people in Hollywood.
