More than just a sticker, Dan Poynter’s Global eBook Awards was created to get your ebook reviewed, promoted and sold now and for years and years to come.

As part of our Top 10 Reasons series, we are going to look a bit more deeply into our last reason to sign up for this competition…

Using Our Stickers to Promote Your eBook

If you’ve been to the home page of this site, then you’ve seen these stickers before:

When your ebook is verified as being currently on-sale through Amazon, Smashwords or on other sites or perhaps on your own website or blog, and it is also considered a good fit for our competition, you will be provided with a “Nominated” sticker as shown above that you can use on your ebook, website, blog or wherever you wish.

Here are some examples of authors who are already using those “Nominated” stickers…

Global eBook Sticker On A Hardcover Book

In this picture above, Alberta Sequeira let us know that, “Everyone remarked on the stickers placed on my book cover. The conversation and questions started out more on what my book had won than anything else. I sold $60 worth of books in ten minutes!  I can’t wait to see if the stickers help with my sales with a festival coming up on June 25th.”

Immediately below are nine of the dozens of sites submitted by entrants who are using our sticker on their site. Please click on the links to see the pages full size.

After your ebook has been read by one of our judges, it may be placed into a Finalist status and you will be sent a “Finalist” sticker.

All finalists are read by each judge in the ebooks category and each ebook is scored by using a checklist finalized by Dan Poynter. Those scores are then compared and a winner is selected in each category. Clear winners are sent a “Winner” sticker after they receive their award at the ceremony in Santa Barbara in August.

In the case of a tie (which would be extremely unlikely put possible), a winner and runner-up will be chosen by comparing how well the contestant carried out promotion assignments during the competition to dress up their ebook page, use promotional ideas sent to them, etc. The runner-up will receive a “Runner-Up Winner” sticker.

You can certainly see the benefits of having a sticker for your award by looking at book covers and movie covers because they are placed prominently.

With most awards contests, this is just about all you get if you don’t win, but this contest is more than just a sticker. We have plenty of other reasons to sign up.
