Paddy the gardener has been trying for years to win the first prize with his daffodils in the Spring Flower Show. This year, his daffodils are more beautiful than ever, because his friend, a bird named Tupo Hoopoe, sprinkled fairy gold dust over them. Then the flowers disappear. Tupo Hoopoe sets off on a grand adventure to try to get them back.
Along the way, she gets outsmarted by a wicked thief, seeks help from the wily king of the leprechauns, tries to save the life of a wild duck in danger, and has to search for a magic ruby wishing ring. A fast moving story, full of twists and turns that will keep children absorbed from beginning to end.
